PARTNER OF THE MONTH
The Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum (The Discovery) is northern Nevada’s home for hands-on science exploration for people of all ages and interests. Each year, nearly 200,000 visitors explore exhibitions, see live demonstrations, and take part in engaging programs, including more than 16,000 Pre-K through 8th grade students who participate in standards-based Discovery Labs on school field trips that enhance classroom learning.
Featured exhibitions such as Survival of the Slowest and Super Human: The Power of Technology, along with the upcoming Brick Masters Studio: Build with LEGO® Bricks Like a Pro, deliver memorable experiences with measurable learning outcomes for learners of all ages.
Beyond the museum floor, The Discovery expands access through Camp Discovery, Family Science Nights, and a bilingual School and Community Outreach program that brings experiences directly to rural schools and community centers across the region.
The Discovery sincerely thanks The Nell J. Redfield Foundation longstanding partnership. Their support strengthens featured exhibitions, such as Brick Masters Studio, and permanent experiences, including our makerspace, The Shop. They also underwrite financial assistance, ensuring that cost and distance never stand in the way of participation. Most importantly, The Nell J. Redfield’s investment directly advances our mission to inspire by being the place to experience science for visitors of all ages.
