PARTNER OF THE MONTH
TMCC Summer Bridge Program
The goal of TMCC’s Success First program is to increase college readiness, persistence, retention and graduation rates of first-time, full-time, first-generation students. Students receive a jump start to college, helping them gain information about science, technology, math and engineering, growing career fields and academic/motivational support during their first year at TMCC. Following the summer program, success coaches provide academic and motivational support to students during their first year at TMCC. The coaches help students succeed academically, address personal challenges, and connect them TMCC wrap-around support services.
2024 will be the fifteenth year of the program that serves up to 120 students annually. Over the past fifteen years, 1,471 students have participated in the program and 98% of them formally enrolled at TMCC in the following fall semester.
TMCC is incredibly proud of our Success First – Summer Bridge graduates and we look forward to our new class of students in summer 2024. We are truly grateful for the support provided by the Nell J. Redfield Foundation, which has contributed significantly to the program’s success.
