United Cerebral Palsy of Nevada

UCP has been in the Northern Nevada community since July 1950. In our long history, we have been able to support individuals with disabilities at a variety of levels. Over the course of nearly 75 years of service, UCP has provided job and day training programs for adults with cognitive and developmental disabilities. In the past decade, UCP has focused on pre-vocational program and life enrichment opportunities. UCP has continued to be a beckon of support for families, caregivers and most importantly, the individuals with disabilities.

As the largest provider of job and day training services to adults with cognitive and developmental disabilities, we want to continue to offer more and meet the growing need in our community. Our programs have waitlists with some individuals with disabilities waiting for over a year or longer for services. UCP is working on expanding our services in 2025. We are so incredibly grateful for the support from the Nell J. Redfield Foundation to help us expand our reach. This funding continues to lend itself to innovative programming from teaching vocational skills to helping form a new program called Project SEARCH. This partnership is helping change the course of lives for people with disabilities in our local community.
